David John Singer/songwriter David John has been crafting his unique style of acoustic pop since he first began playing the guitar at the age of ten. Rooted in folk, blues and a hint of funk, David John's music may be best described as an acoustic groove. Influenced by such musicians as Tracy Chapman, Paul Simon, Rusted Root, and a variety of others, this self-taught musician creates an original blend of acoustic flow that takes the audience through a mixture of energetic acoustic jams to expressive music from the soul. Born and raised in Seattle, David John lived in Charleston, South Carolina after graduating high school where he performed with local artists and was influenced by the folk and bluegrass sounds of the deep south. David John uses his musical talent and commanding voice to take audiences on an emotional passage going from soulful-driven groves to reflections on a lifetime of experience packed into a three-minute song.

David John's current release, Sandpoint, contains 14 tracks that take a lifetime of experience and crafts them into lyrical expressions and song. Each of the songs on Sandpoint is a story crafted by experiences in David John's life that show the depth of human emotions while incorporating the routines in everyday life. "What A Man" tells the story of a homeless street preacher who claimed he heard the voice of God and, for a dollar, he would share His message. "Black and White" reflects the emotional power that can be captured on a photograph in a time of transition. "Hardback Book" describes love as an expression, like a hardback book, with your world inside, waiting for someone to need it.

Backed by an impressive live performances, Sandpoint held an impressive nine week run on the top ten most requested album list on 89.3 KUGS FM in Bellingham during the Spring of 2001. With moving lyrics and amazing guitar riffs, word of David John's performances is quickly spreading through the college town of Bellingham as anyone within' earshot can't help but feel the groove. Armed with his soulful guitar riffs, his ambition, and a whole lot of hope, David John takes the music to the people with lyrics you can't help but sing along to and an acoustic groove that has everyone shakin' their ever loving booties.
